CRETE. Lyttos. Circa 320-270 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 5.95 g, 9 h). Eagle flying right. Rev. ΛYTTS-ON Head of a boar to right; all within square of dots within incuse square. BMC 6 and pl. XIII, 14 var. (legend not retrograde). SNG Copenhagen 495 (same dies). Svoronos, Crète, 28. A rare variety. Beautifully toned and of powerful style. Good very fine.
